I Prefer Not To Be Buttoned Up In A Shirt And Tie…

‘Illustrator/designer from London. Bearded man. Simple relaxed style. Love Henley tops and denim, accessories and beard grooming products. Ok well it’s hard to describe your own style but I’ll try to give you as much detail as possible.
Basically I would describe my style as simple and relaxed because I prefer not to be buttoned up in a shirt and tie. I like things like Henley tops, denim and flannel shirts and plenty of detail in accessories. I don’t do
crazy colourful prints or crazy outrageous ensembles.
My style icon is Johnny Depp. His clothes are very casual, well layered and well accessorized yet still stylish. My origins are from Cypriot but I don’t feel that has influenced my style. I would say this, I love PJs and if someone invented lounge clothes to be worn outdoors I would love it.’

I Love Adapting A Look That Has Inspired Me…

‘As Hardy Amies said
“A man should look as if he has bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care and then forgotten all about them.”
This is one of the quotes I live by when shopping. It’s very rare that I buy things together. A lot of the time I buy items individually knowing that I have something at home that will work well.
For example, I have very few suits but lots of blazes and trousers that I bought separately. It simply means I can always have a new look with the same stuff. I also take a lot of care when choosing an outfit for an outing. It sometimes can take me two days to put a look together – but when it’s right it’s right and I always know it.
I like an outfit that stands out but looks effortless. I truly believe it’s a lot about ‘the man in the clothes, rather than the clothes on the man.’
'Finding a style that suits my personality has always been a huge importance to me. I love adapting a look that has inspired me, whether this be from the catwalk or something I have seen in a magazine and incorporating it into my everyday style.
Growing up my father was a tailor and my mother was a seamstress, so fashion was something I was always interested in from an early age. I was always fascinated with texture and bright colours.
When it comes to colour I tend to go with nature, I find nature always puts colours together in an interesting way. Most of the time, ways that us humans would never think of.’

I Was Sort Of Thrown Into The Water And Told To Swim

‘”Revitalizing culture in a world of trends,” is a quote that has refined my style over the years.
My style is similar to the teachings in architecture. Each outfit is sorted according to proportion and general “rules” of fashion. Along the way I have grown to appreciate and apply these values by adding my own twist and flavor. The end result has sparked a sense of hope that I can one day apply my transition from architecture to the vast world of fashion by establishing a luxury brand that pays homage to the rich culture in everyday living.
What inspired me to transition into fashion was the simple notion that appearance is a first impression. Being a business forward individual, I was sort of thrown into the water and told to swim. Once I noticed how easy it was to set my style apart from others, fashion became a dream of mine waiting to be manifest.
I am a student at Tuskegee University majoring in architecture. I was raised in Atlanta, GA all my life so NYC presented a completely new environment – mainly a crowd of fashion forward individuals. I liked the atmosphere and to help myself blend in I immediately went to buy my very first tailored suit with my earned stipend from my internship.
From that point on as I returned home, I took on a higher level of consciousness for business and looking the part. My style is similar to architecture because everything I wear now is well tailored and each garment or accessory is directly proportional to each other. This is what we are taught as architecture students- to always produce a well designed building or for fashion’s sake, a well put together outfit.’
