'Style is a reflection of personality, I dress to my character. I like to be well polished, what man would choose other wise? A dapper man is someone who focuses on preservation of appearance and character. A man with no integrity is not a man at all. What is James Bond without character? Just another person with the name James, we make our mark when we know how to express who we are and demand that other people acknowledge our presence.
My oldest cousin, Damasi Mc Pherson inspired me about fashion. As a kid he would pick me up in his all black 1981 Corvette, always with a suit and tie and on "down days" or barber shop days he called it a v-neck with fitted sweats would be the morning get up. Him being in his twenties while I was 8 definitely shed light on what type of man I wanted to grow into. So from my sneaker stage of Jordan's to my polo prep phase I manage to touch down somewhere between dapper and street style with an easy landing'

'My interest in fashion started in the midst of entering my second year of university. I had a massive transition in high school from wearing "gangster" clothing to a sudden switch to a more sophisticated "GQ" look. I vividly remember one day walking behind a fellow student and realizing how dumb it looked having your pants halfway below your butt.
In the following years of my studies in my 4 year program of multimedia and communications, I started to pursue and have extreme passion in fashion and also started a fashion blog promoting student outfits on campus. Not long after I launched my own clothing line in creating my first floral shirt (www.vcselections.com) which created massive hype!
For inspirations, I would definitely like to point to my fellow Instagram community (to name a few, Blakescott_, Andredelamode, Dennisthemenis, thetieguy, brothersandcraft, that_dapper_chap, dressedtoill, jasonchew_, etc) but also in iconic form, Nick Wooster and of course, well known designer, Tom Ford. I usually look into pieces that I currently own and
visually create outfits in my mind while I shop to compile the perfect outfit. I believe that fashion is a source of artistic expression and your body is the canvas in which your mind is the paintbrush in how you want to structure your unique "style".'

'It would not be fair to say I have always had style by choice. While growing up I was always told I dressed extremely well. Yet, it was until about two years ago when I felt I began my true fashion journey.
Not too sure where the inspiration came from but as a business major and an extremely sociable person I quickly learned the importance of looking and feeling great. I began shopping more wisely and more specifically based on each occasion. I don't consider myself a man with just one style. My closet varies, one day I can be wearing shorts and a tank top with some sneakers and the next you can catch me wearing a full suit.
I have chosen to live by this motto when it comes to fashion, "Clothes don't make you look good, YOU make the clothes look good." There is nothing worse than wearing something you yourself are not comfortable with. This can be the most expensive or fashionable outfit but if you don't feel it then it's like wearing dirty rags. I have chosen to live a life with style not just in what I wear but how I compose and express myself. As I hope others would too.'
