Watch 45 Seven Friday

This Seven Friday P2 watch was submitted by Michael Imbrogno (instagram user @MrMiklange)

'The story behind this watch is as follows: Earlier this year my grandmother gave her grandchildren (myself included) some money from an account my grandparents had been keeping for quite some time.

Understandably I was quite surprised and pleased to receive this and after some thought I decided to put some of this money towards one of my passions and buy a watch to celebrate and commemorate this gift and the memory of my grandfather who had passed away when I was 6.

After much searching for something appropriate, I decided on the Sevenfriday P2 as it has a classic feel to it and represents my own personal style well.'

Watch 42 Reveal

This Projects Reveal watch was submitted by Daniel Will-Harris.

'Because it's my most popular and "classic" - the original is black, then we did it in bright orange which isn't sold anymore, then in silver, red and blue. The black's the original but if you want to choose one with more color, I'd say go red.'

Daniel Will-Harris has designed several 'kinetic watches' for Project Watches (follow the link to purchase your own Iridium Watch), look forward to seeing more as a part of the 100 Watches Project.

Watch 40 Maranez

This Maranez Layan watch with green California Dial was submitted by Markus Sundstrom (instagram user @mr_sundstrom)

'I really like this watch because of the great value. It's not my first watch, nor is it my most expensive. It's brass, not bronze. But despite all this it is a great piece with its half roman, half Arabic numerals! Check it out!

Regards ,

Markus.'

Watch 38 Heuer

This Heuer Autavia "Jo Siffert" dial watch was submitted by James Lamdin. (instagram user @analogshift)

'The Heuer has the same color scheme (Panda dial with blue highlights) as the model worn by legendary racing driver Jo Siffert.  As a Porsche enthusiast (and really just a vintage car enthusiast in general), to me there is no watch that better exemplifies the connection between motorsports and timepieces.  I lusted after a Siffert Autavia for many years before finding one that I could afford.  It is perhaps less desirable (being manual winding) than the Calibre 11 Automatic versions, but is actually quite a bit rarer - and I actually prefer the look of the triple subsidiary dials to the two on the automatic.  It is without a question a permanent part of my collection.'

Watch 37 Doxa

This Doxa Sub 300 Professional 'Black Lung' watch was submitted by James Lamdin. (instagram user @analogshift)

'The DOXA is really the timepiece that got me into watches to begin with (through discovering the brand in Clive Cussler's novels) - and it took me TEN YEARS to find a good one.  Although I had a few others come through the collection, none were original/special enough to fit the bill.

This one materialized just this past spring, sold to me by the son of the original owner, who found it in a desk drawer after about 20 years of it just sitting there.

It is a very rare prototype dial featuring a "filled in" US Divers/Aqualung logo known to collectors as a "Blacklung".  Subsequent production models had the logo executed in outline only, as it was decided the full printed logo would make the hands hard to see when they passed over.  Less than 20 were made, and about 12-13 are accounted for today.  I actually haven't yet disclosed my find (which came with the original papers) to the DOXA community, but when I do I'm sure it will be to-do.

The bracelet I have on it is slightly later, which is why the end-links don't fit properly.  I'm working on rectifying this, but could take some time to find them.'
