About
Sunflowerman is a fashion artist, born with a pencil in his hand. After growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he set out to travel the world with a suitcase full of art supplies. Living in London, Milan, Paris and New York inspired him to revive the lost art of men’s fashion illustration with his signature style.
When he isn’t traveling, you can find him in the Sunflowerman Studio overlooking Lake St Clair in Detroit, Michigan.
Sunflowerman currently works with clients worldwide to capture their stories on paper. You've seen Sunflowerman illustrations in lookbooks, on showroom walls, and painted live during events. His work can be found in private collections in London, Hong Kong, Dallas, New York, Cape Town, Dubai, and across the globe.

MEEDEN French Easel
I use Meeden easels in my studio and for live painting events. The French easel is ideal for plein air painting.

MEEDEN H-Frame Artist Easel
I use Meeden easels in my studio and for live painting events. The H-frame easel is sturdy and easy to reposition for the best light and angles.

India Ink
Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bombay Black India Ink is my NUMBER 1 go-to art tool.
Whether I’m drawing or painting watches or fashion or cars I cannot be without my black ink.

The Pilot Parallel Pen
The Pilot Parallel Pen is an amazing tool that I’ve been seeing pop up all over the place. My first exposure was by the artist Vincent Nappi (check him out here).
It comes with a kit ink in the tube that I always empty out and fill with Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bombay Black India Ink. The tube can be reused over and over again.

Large Watercolor Brush
Winsor & Newton Sceptre Gold II, Wash, Short Handle, Size 2" is what I use in my now famous background washes on the large watch paintings.
