'I'm a preppy southern gentleman walking in the foot steps of my father. A Southern Gentleman is a man with southern class, he practices haberdashery, and has a love for the southern traditions he's grown up with. He loves horse races, an evening on the golf course, and a sunny morning out on the lake. But what does the southern gentleman wear? To me the southern gentleman is summed up best in khakis, a navy blazer, loafers, a plain oxford, and a bright bow tie.
At the end of the day it's more than any of this, its pure class living and breathing, and that's a Southern Gentleman.'

I Saw Custom As The Way Of The Future

'I come from the world of finance, but my passion for styling brought me into the men's fashion industry. Owning a retail store for 3 years gave me the experience to now run a store on 5th Avenue in NYC. I was working crazy hours and getting burned out. A friend of mine, who was a Producer at NBC, wanted to start a business with me and we ended up coming up with the idea to open a men's clothing store, and start a clothing line, in the hometown we grew up in...Franklin Lakes, NJ.
Originally, I was the "money guy" but as the business grew I became obsessed with design and the custom industry. We sold other brands, along with our own, but I saw custom as the way of the future.
After 3 years, my partner wanted out and forced the shut down of the business. Fortunately, within a week I was working as a Stylist/Clothier and haven't looked back. Now, I was hired to find, open, and manage a store with my current company, Elevee. (www.elevee.com)
We opened in early January on 38th & 5th in NYC.'

One Thing That I Noticed Is That Everyone Looked The Same

'I wasn't always into men's fashion. I didn't recognize my talent for styling until maybe a few years ago. I began reading magazines and checking out different fashion shows online and I decided to give it a shot.
One thing I noticed was that everyone looked the same. Usually I saw the traditional white shirt, tie (of any color), nice pants and some dress shoes. So I used that as motivation to make my style different from many and most importantly not boring! My style is simply based on challenging the norm. I like to push the boundaries by using multiple patterns along with color blocking in my approach. My journey with fashion lives on as I seek more companies and clients who need styling or brand consultation and advertising.'
