I Knew It Was Time To Get Down To Business...
Daily Fashion Illustration 190. Wednesday, May 28. 2014
Story submitted by Cara Kovacs. -instagram @thestylephile site thestylephileblog.com
'I had wanted to start a fashion blog for well over a year, as I was already obsessively following bloggers from Seoul to Milan to L.A. After I became a fashion writer for www.joonbug.com, I knew it was time to get down to business. New York Fashion Week for Spring 2014 was one of my first assignments. Excitement and nervousness consumed me, as I was both in awe of the street style and runway shows, and intimidated by prices I could never afford.
As a student in New York City, I knew that I had a passion and keen eye for fashion trends and personal style. However, my budget didn't match the city I lived in or the events I was covering. My blog, which was originally an outlet for my creative spirit, became a streamlined place to showcase how I attempt to look very high-end without accumulating credit card debt. What was a hobby for me is also practical knowledge for the young and the stylish who are trying to simultaneously build their wardrobe and their savings. Showcasing New York City style on a student budget is the goal of my blog, but playing dress-up in one of the most amazing cities in the world is also just a fabulous hobby.'

I Would See That People Really Did Not Know The Basics Of Dressing
Daily Fashion Illustration 189. Tuesday, May 27. 2014
Story submitted by Juan Zuniga. -instagram @teachingmensfashion, @juanczuniga
'It all started about two years ago. I was still in law school at the time and saw how people were dressing around me. Not caring at all how they looked. Then when I would come back home for a visit, I would see that people really did not know the basics of dressing. So my brother and I started Teaching Men's Fashion and as our motto from day one states, we try to change one man at a time. It has been a great process and throughout this whole process I have also learned a lot more about fashion.'
