Commission an Illustration

How it works:

Original Artwork:

If you are looking for physical artwork to hang on a wall, you want to commission an original painting. Paintings start at 11x15 inches and are available framed or unframed.

The Illustration Process:

Once we understand what you’re looking for in an illustration, it’s time to start creating!

Step 1: Concept brief - You let us know what you are looking for and send any reference images you have.

Step 2: Sketch - Sunflowerman will send you a loose sketch laying out the subject matter and composition. This stage is “rough” and is a good time to give general feedback on the concept as a whole.

Step 3: Color Study - Sunflowerman will send you a more detailed sketch with finalized colors and compositions. This is a good time to review details like the color of a watch strap or pattern on a suit. This stage is less detailed than the final and any portrait resemblance will be loose.

Step 4: Final Painting - The final painting is where all the pieces come together! The completed and signed artwork will be shipped to you fully insured and with signature upon delivery.
