Back with the Blogger Project
It's like returning back to where you started. Not going backward, just coming full circle.
I began with PROJECT as a part of the Blogger Project (a project by Marcus Troy), then I was a part of PROJECT with the #SunflowerSessions and now I'm back, once again as a blogger. More than anything it feels like returning to a band of brothers- albeit a rag-tag group of young men who can't help themselves but constantly pester one another. But in that way it feels like being home.
Timberland at PROJECT Vegas
At PROJECT this past August I had my most intimate look at Timberland in my life. I was impressed with their foray into clothing, especially the leather jackets- heavy with the soul of workmen, rough with the grit of worn hands, cool with the heir of McQueen.
I thought it best to illustrate the idea of Timberland rather than pull a product. Their was certainly a push toward fashion in the stead of utility, but the heart of Timberland is Yellow. The classic yellow Timberland boot.

Ace X Eli for PROJECT Vegas
Ace Rivington is a young company based out of the West Coast of the US. After raising $60,000 in 34 days on Kickstarter, Ace Rivington launched their first products in 2014. Inspired by the spirit of adventure and clothes so comfortable you never want to take them off the Ace Homespun French Terry Sweatshirt was born.
Eli Infante is mainstay of the contemporary menswear scene. See his other features here.
Featured in this illustration is the Ace Rivington Cafe Racer leather jacket. I think you'll be seeing more of this jacket on social media pretty soon.

John Pickens at PROJECT Vegas
I met John Pickens while painting at PROJECT in Vegas. We chatted for a while and after the show we reconnected. He owns and runs John Pickens Clothier, a menswear boutique in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Incidentally, I have driven through Shreveport on at least 6 occasions while traveling from Atlanta to Fort Worth and back again.
Mizzen and Main X Sabir Peele at PROJECT Vegas
Mizzen and Main makes the best moisture wicking dress shirts on the market. They have pioneered the product in fashion and even impressed the likes of Tim Ferriss.
Sabir Peele is Men's Style Pro. Check out his previous illustration wearing French Connection.

Anderson's Belts at PROJECT Vegas
Anderson's Belts has been around since 1966, crafting hand made belts in Italy.
I first came across them at PROJECT Vegas, 1 year ago. It was the entire Blogger Project at the Anderson's booth, learning about the brand, getting feel and experience the hand crafted belts first hand.
Anderson's was the first ever to weave their belts, allowing for more comfort and an entirely new aesthetic.
